ITS A 3-A TEAM THAT HAS PLAYED MOST OF THEIR GAMES AGAINST 4-A SCHOOLS.
IF THE CARDINALS WIN TONIGHT, THEY PLAY NEXT MONDAY NIGHT AT DUBUQUE.
IF DEWITT WINS TONIGHT AGANST DUBUQUE WAHLERT, THEY WOULD BE
THE CARDINALS OPPONENT NEXT MONDAY NIGHT. THE GAME STARTS AT 7 TONIGHT.
LISTEN TO KMAQ-FM TONIGHT FOR THE GAME....OR, JOIN ME. I'LL BE THERE AT THE KENNEDY HIGH SCHOOL GYM TO WATCH IT.

THE PARENTS OF A CHILD WHO DIED IN A FIRE IN DELMAR LAST MONTH HAVE BEEN ARRESTED ON CHARGES OF CHILD ENDANGERMENT AND TWO FELONY CHARGES OF CHILD NEGLECT. THEIR 4-YEAR OLD DAUGHTER DIED IN THE DELMAR FIRE FEBRUARY 15TH. THE SHERIFF SAID THE GIRL DIED IN HER BEDROOM AFTER NOT BEING ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE ROOM APPARENTLY BECAUSE OF THE EXCISS DEBRIS IN THE ROOM OR THE LOCK MECHANISM ON THE DOOR. THE SHERIFF SAID THE GIRLS ROOM AND THE OTHER CHILDREN'S ROOMS HAD LOCKS INSTALLED SO THE CHILDREN COULD BE LOCKED IN THERE ROOMS.

THE VEHICLE OF THE WOMAN MURDERED LAST MONTH IN SAVANNA HAS BEEN FOUND ON A CITY STREET IN CHICAGO. BUT AUTHORITIES ARE STILL LOOKING FOR HER HUSBAND, WHO IS BELIEVED TO BE CONNECTED WITH HER MURDER.

BOTH HERE IN TOWN AND IN THE COUNTRY, SOMONE IS STEALING CHECKS FROM MAILBOXES AND ALTERING THEM AND CASHING THEM. LET'S SAY YOU SEND A CHECK TO YOUR GAS COMPANY. THEY TAKE THE ENVELOPE OUT OF THE MAILBOX, TAKE IT OUT OF ENVELOPE, CHANGE THE NAME AND AMOUNT ... AND CASH IT.

THE MAQUOKETA COUNCIL THIS WEEK GAVE THE GO-AHEAD TO PROCEED WITH THE WALKING TRAIL ALONG THE MAQUOKETA RIVER, AT A COST OF $210,000. NEARLY ONE HALF COMES FROM A GRANT.

THE REPUBLICAN COUNTY CONVENTION IS THIS SATURDAY AFTERNOON AT 1 IN MAQUOKETA AT THE HIGH SCHOOL. THE DEMOCRATS HAVE THEIRS A WEEK LATER, AT THE MAQUOKETA COMMUNITY CENTER, AT 9 A.M.

NO BIRTHS OR DEATHS.

TAKE CARE.
