THE MAQUOKET SPEEDWAY HAS HAD TWO GOOD WEEKS TO OPEN THE SEASON
AT THE FAIRGROUNDS. GOOD WEATHER BOTH SATURDAY NIGHTS.
LAST SATURDAY NIGHT, WAS THE LUCAS OIL MLRA LATE MODELS FEATURE
SHOW. CHIS SIMPSON CLAIMED THE CHECKERED FLAG TO CLAIM THE TOP
PRIZE OF $5,000. BOBBY PIERCE....DENNIS ERB, JR...CHAD SIMPSON... AND RYAN
UNZICKER ROUNDED THE TOP 5.
MATT HUDSPETH, HELD OFF BRUISE YOERGER IN THE AMERICAN IRON RACING
SERIES FEATURE.
KEVIN FELLER IS RACE DIRECTOR, NEW THIS YEAR, WITH LOTS OF EXPERIENCE
AND SO IT SHOULD BE A GOOD YEAR FOR STOCK CAR RACING IN MAQUOKETA
THIS SUMMER. WITH THE NEW GRANDSTAND ADDITION LAST YEAR, THERE
ARE MANY EXCELLENT SEATS TO WATCH THE RACES.
