SUNDAY DAILY

A BIG TURNOUT LAST NIGHT (SATURDAY) FOR THE ANNUAL BEEF BANQUET BY THE
JACKSON COUNTY CATTLEMEN'S ASSOCIATION, AT THE PEARSON BUILDING AT THE
FAIRGROUNDS IN MAQUOKETA.    THIS PAST WEEKEND, 8 INCHES OF SNOW WAS
FORECAST FOR THE MAQUOKETA AREA, BUT WE ENDED UP GETTING LESS THAN
AN INCH.    DID GET SOME NASTY SLEET THOUGH.  
FOLKS LINED UP FOR THE GRILLED RIBEYE STEAK DINNER, PREPARED BY THE JONES COUNTY CATTLEMEN.
THE MEETING WAS CONDUCTED BY PRESIDENT ERIC ANDERSEN.
THE NEW BEEF QUEEN IS CORTLYN LANE, DAUGHTER OF DOUG AND NANCY LANE
OF SPRAGUEVILLE.      THE NEW BEEF AMBASSADOR IS LANE STENDER, SON OF
JOHN AND JEN STENDER OF BALDWIN.

AT THE ENTRY TO PEARSON, WAS THIS TABLE DISPLAY REMEMBER LEIGHTON
HEPKER, MANAGER OF KMAQ, WHO DIED OF CANCER A YEAR AGO AND WAS
A SUPPORTER OF THE CATTLEMEN'S ASSOCIATION.

THE NIGHT ENDED WITH  PRIZE DRAWINGS  AND THE ANNUAL AUCTION.
A NICE NIGHT FOR THE CATTLEMEN.
