MONDAY DAILY

GROSSMAN HALL IN DELMAR.
IT WILL BE A VERY BUSY PLACE THIS FRIDAY...4 TO 7 P.M.
THE ANNUAL DELMAR METHODIST ALL YOU CAN EAT FISH FRY IS VERY POPULAR.
$11 IN ADVANCE, $12 AT THE DOOR.
SEE YOU THERE!

WORK HAS STARTED.   THIS HOLE IN THE GROUND WILL BE TURNED INTO A VERY
POPULAR PLACE THIS SUMMER IN THE DELMAR PARK.    KIDS WILL REALLY
LOVE IT.    DELMAR DEVELOPMENT IS MAKING IT POSSIBLE.    MORE LATER.

THE NEW TICKET BOOTH AT THE 61 DRIVE-IN THEATRE IS NEARING COMPLETION. SATURDAY,  CASEY CASEL, OF CASEL CONSTRUCTION IN MAQUOKETA (THE THEATRE'S DO-ALL MAN FOR 8 YEARS) AND HIS EMPLOYEE  LUKE BOWMAN, WORKED MOST OF THE DAY GETTING BOOTH ENCLOSED.      TODAY,  JADYN (OF LaMOTTE) WITH WIRE ONE, DID THE WIRING.      THE DRIVE-IN OPENS FRIDAY, APRIL 26TH.
YOU BET!    WE ARE GETTING THE TRAIN READY FOR ITS 47TH YEAR OF GIVING FREE TRAIN RIDES BEFORE SHOW TIME.     I BOUGHT THE THEATRE  IN 1972 AND LATER IN
YEAR, BOUGHT THE TRAIN THAT WAS IN STORAGE AT A CEDAR RAPIDS MALL.
SO, WHO KNOWS HOW OLD THE TRAIN IS.

THEY ARE MOVING DIRT EVERYWHERE AT GOODENOW FIELD.    NOTE THE BLACK
DIRT IN UPPER LEFT CORNER WHERE THE TICKET BOOTH WAS AND THE SAND BROUGHT IN ON WEST WEST SIDE, BY THE SCOREBOARD.
