MICRO BREWERIES ARE POPULAR IN IOWA AND THE NUMBER OF THEM IS GROWING.
WE HAVE ONE (HERE SINCE 2016) IN BELLEVUE......RIVER RIDGE BREWING......AND IT HAS 6 OWNERS, WHO BREW AND SERVE IN THEIR TAVERN ACROSS FROM THE
SUBWAY RESTAURANT IN DOWNTOWN BELLEVUE. OWNER KELLY HUENEKE GAVE
THE PROGRAM TODAY AT THE MAQUOKETA ROTARY CLUB. A BARRELL OF
BEER HOLDS AROUND 350 SIXTEEN OUNCE CANS AND LAST YEAR, THEY BREWED
134 BARRELLS. EIGHTY FIVE PERCENT OF THE CONSUMERS LIVE WITHIN 10 MILES OF A BREWERY IN IOWA. KELLY'S HUSBAND IS AN OWNER, AND TWO OTHER
BELLEVUE COUPLES ARE OWNERS AND FOR ALL, IT IS A PART TIME ENDEAVOR.
