SUNDAY DAILY

ATTENDED CHURCH TODAY AT THIS LITTLE COUNTRY CHURCH A FEW MILES NORTH OF MAQUOKETA JUST OFF HIGHWAY 61.      11 A.M. SERVICE AND POTLUCK DINNER
AFTER AT NOON.
TODAY'S PASTOR WAS ED BRIGGS OF MAQUOKETA.    THAT'S  MATT WALKER AT THE
PIANO IN CORNER, GRANDSON OF RED HENTON ANDA RESIDENT OF CEDAR RAPIDS.
PASTOR BRIGGS BROUGHT ALONG HIS GUITAR AND HIS WIFE TOOK TO THE PIANO
AND THEY SANG A NICE HYMN.    HE ALSO CONDUCTS SERVICES AT EAST IRON
HILL CHURCH.    THE FULTON CHURCH HAS A SERVICE TWICE A MONTH.     OPEN TO
ALL...NON-DENOMINATIONAL.

FOR SUPPER LAST NIGHT, WE  ENJOYED A BEEF AND PORK DINNER AT SUGAR
CREEK.    PROBABLY THE BEST CHURCH SUPPER IN THE KMAQ AREA.    I'VE BEEN
TO MANY.    OVER 15 HOME-MADE PIES TO CHOOSE FROM.

WE GO INSIDE THIS OLD SCHOOL FOR THE MEAL AND PIES.    SCHOOL NO LONGER
USED, EXCEPT FOR THIS BIG ANNUAL SUMMER LAWN SOCIAL.
MUSIC EACH YEAR BY FAMOUS MAMA J
GOOD MUSIC
AND THAT'S THE BEAUTIFUL CHURCH.
GREAT PEOPLE AT ST. JOSEPH'S.
THANKS FOR PUTTING ON THIS SPECIAL SOCIAL EACH SUMMER.

LET'S SEE...THRESHER'S MEAL AT MILES  SATURDAY....POTLUCK DINNER THIS NOON AT FULTON....AND THE SUPPER TONIGHT AT SUGAR CREEK.....LOTS OF FOOD (TOO MUCH) DURING THE WEEKEND.   BUT IT WAS ALL SOOO GOOD!     WILL HAVE
TO EAT LESS THIS WEEK AGAIN, BEFORE JUMPING ON THE SCALE.
