ANAMOSA CAME TO TOWN LAST NIGHT. THE GIRLS GAME WAS WON BY
ANAMOSA, 55 TO 46.
MAQUOKETA WON THE BOYS GAME, 51 TO 38.
IT WAS "PACK THE GYM" NIGHT. THERE WAS A LARGER CROWD THAN
NORMAL BUT STILL A LOT OF EMPTY BLEACHER SEATS.
AND WE LEARNED THAT THE AMOUNT RAISED TO UPGRADE GOODENOW
FIELD HAS REACHED OVER $500,000 AND NOT FAR FROM THE GOAL.
ALAINA LANZ AND HER HUSBAND ARE MOVING TO FRANCE, A COUNTRY
THEY HAVE VISITED MANY TIMES. SHE IS LEAVING THE MAQUOKETA
PUBLIC LIBRARY IN MARCH TO LIVE IN A SMALL RURAL TOWN, LIKE
MAQUOKETA. SHE HAS BEEN OUR LIBRARIAN OVER 7 YEARS AND HAS
DONE A GOOD JOB. A SEARCH IS UNDERWAY FOR HER REPLACEMENT.
SHE SPOKE AT ROTARY TODAY.
WARMER WEATHER IS COMING SOON TO MAQUOKETA.
