FRIDAY DAILY

THE REPLACEMENT OF A SEWER PIPE IN DOWNTOWN MAQUOKETA HAS
BEEN DONE.   TODAY, THE POURED NEW CONCRETE ON NORTH MAIN.
THEY ALSO POURED CONCRETE FOR HALF THE SIDEWALK IN FRONT OF THE LAW OFFICE.    THE OTHER HALF OF THE SIDEWALK AND PUTTING THE BRICKS BACK .. WILL BE DONE MONDAY.     THE NORTH MAIN DETOUR WILL BE GONE TUESDAY MORNING.


MAQUOKETA STATE BANK  HELD A "GRILLING FOR CHARITY" FROM 11 UNTIL 2 TODAY IN THEIR PARKING LOW AND THE EVENT  RAISED $2,400 FOR THE
FRIENDS OF THE MAQUOKETA LIBRARY.   THANKS M-S-B.

SPORTS:   THE CARDINAL GIRLS SOFTBALL TEAM LOST A DOUBLE-HEADER
TO SOLON LAST NIGHT, ENDING A 5-GAME WINNING STREET FOR THE
CARDS.
THE CARDINAL BOYS BASEBALL TEAM LOST A DH TO BENTON COMMUNITY
LAST NIGHT, 8 TO 1 AND 8 TO 7.

TOMORROW COME TO MAQUOKETA FOR THE BIG CANOE, BIKE AND WALK RACE FROM CANTON TO MAQUOKETA AND THE CAR SHOW AT THE FAIRGROUNDS.    
COOL WEATHER FOR THE WEEKEND.....TEMPS IN THE 70'S ALL 3 DAYS.
