IN BOWLING LAST NIGHT AT TIMBER LANES, TONY CARR (NOT HIM OR TIMBER LANES ABOVE) OF RURAL MAQUOKETA ROLLED A PERFECT 300 GAME IN THE SUBURBAN BUD LIGHT LEAGUE. NICE WAY TO END THE YEAR.
"PASSENGERS" WAS THE TOP MOVIE LAST NIGHT AT THE VOY THEATRE LAST NIGHT. EVERYONE LIKES IT.
THE TOP FIVE BUSINESS PLACES IN MAQUOKETA THAT BRING VISITORS FROM ALL-OVER FOR FOOD AND ENTERTAINMENT. ABOVE, THE "CODFISH HOLLOW BARN" NORTHEAST OF TOWN. THE OTHER FOUR: "BLUFF LAKE
CATFISH FARM" NEAR THE CAVES....THE "61 DRIVE-IN THEATRE" SOUTH OF
TOWN...."OHNWARD FINE ARTS CENTER" ON EAST PLATT STREET....AND THE "DECKER HOTEL AND RESTAURANT" ON SOUTH MAIN STREET. NOT A BUSINESS, BUT THE "MAQUOKETA CAVES STATE PARK" LEADS THE WAY.
ALL MAKE POPULAR "FEATURES" FOR TV AND NEWSPAPERS TOO. LIKE THE ABOVE ONE LAST WEEK IN THE QUAD CITY TIMES "WEEKEND" SECTION.
