THE FINAL SUMMER CONCERT IN THE GREEN SPACE DOWNTOWN WAS HELD
YESTERDAY AFTERNOON. GREAT WEATHER, BUT LOW TURN-OUT FOR
THE "ROCK THE PARK" GOSPEL TWO BANDS. I COUNTED ABOUT 100 ADULTS
AND 50 KIDS. A FEW PROBLEMS....STARTED LATE AND ALMOST ONE HOUR
BETWEEN BANDS. THE FIRST BAND, THE MICHAEL REED BAND, WAS VERY GOOD, FROM WATERLOO-CEDAR FALLS, BUT I DIDN'T LIKE THE NASHVILLE BAND AS WELL. LIKED MY SNO-CONE THOUGH. NOTICE THE PIECE OF EARTH-MOVING EQUIPMENT IN UPPER RIGHT HAND CORNER.
THE MICHEL REED BAND.
JACK DOESN'T JUST GO TO WATCH SPORTING EVENTS. HE'S A MUSIC
FAN TOO!
LATE YESTERDAY AFTERNOON WE WENT TO THE CLINTON ENGINES MUSEUM FOR THE FISH FRY, SPONSORED BY THE JACKSON COUNTY
HISTORICAL SOCIETY TO RAISE FUNDS FOR THE RESTORATION OF THE NARROW GUAGE RAILROAD DEPOT ON EDGE OF PARKING LOT. BIG
TURN-OUT. THEY HAD TWO LINES, ONE IN THE BASEMENT OF THE MUSEUM
WHERE SOME ATE AND OTHER ABOVE IN THE NEW LARGE FARM
EQUIPMENT SHED. GOOD FISH AND THE EXTRAS.
THE "WAITING" ROOM IN THE DEPOT
