MONDAY DAILY

LATE SATURDAY AFTERNOON, BAD WEATHER PASSED OVER JONES AND JACKSON COUNTY BETWEEN 4 AND 7 P.M.    THUNDERSTORM WARNINGS ....AND
A TORNADO WARNING FOR THE NORTHERN HALF OF JACKSON COUNTY!
AT THE JONES COUNTY HEAVY RAIN BUT THE BIG SHOW WENT ON AT 8:30, A
HALF-HOUR LATE, WITH A REDUCED CROWD.    MAQUOKETA GOT 1.8 INCHES OF RAIN WITH THE WIND.   NINE MILES SOUTH OF MAQUOKETA JUST OFF
HIGHWAY 61, THE ALFRED AND WILMA WITT BARN WAS DOWNED BY A
TORNADO WHICH ALSO FELLED A LARGE MAPLE TREE.    PHOTO ABOVE
OF THE BARN (INSURED) AND PHOTO BELOW OF THE TREE.    NO
INJURIES.
