THE JACKSON/CLINTON DAIRY PROMOTION BOARD HAS ANNOUNED THAT THEIR 8TH ANNUAL "LUNCH ON THE DAIRY" FARM WILL BE SUNDAY AFTERNOON, JUNE 19TH, AT THE BANOWETZ DAIRY AT RURAL
CHARLOTTE AND WILL INCLUDE A FREE PICNIC BURGER AND BRAT LUNCH, INCLUDING CHEESE, MILK AND ICE CREAM.
THIS AFTERNOON AT GOODENOW FIELD, FORMER KMAQ ANNOUNCER
AND PLAY-BY-PLAY VOICE OF MANY MAQUOKETA AREA SPORTS EVENTS, BOB WARNER, PRESENTED A CHECK OF $2,500 TO THE FRIENDS OF GOODENOW FIELD ORGANIZATION THAT HAS PLANS TO MAKE MAJOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE FOOTBALL AND SOCCER FIELD. BOB'S CONTRIBUTION WAS THE FIRST LARGE ONE TO THE FUND DRIVE TO FINANCE THE IMPROVEMENTS WHICH ARE SCHEDULED TO BE COMPLETED BY THE START OF THE 2007 FOOTBALL SEASON. MEMBERS OF THE FRIENDS OF GOODENOW FIELD, BOB GAVIN, LEFT, AND DR. BUDDY ATIENZA, RIGHT, ACCEPTED THE CHECK AND SHARED THEIR APPRECIATION.
