WEDNESDAY DAILY REPORT

SURE WAS A NICE DAY..
SUNNY AND IN 60'S..
AND IT WILL STAY THIS WAY THROUGH THE REST OF THE WEEK AND
STARTING THE NEW WEEK.    WILL EVEN BE ABOVE 70 SATURDAY AND SUNDAY.

THESE CONCRETE BOXES ARE IN FRONT OF THE POST OFFICE AND WILL
BE BURIED AND USED BELOW THE NEW STREET, SOMEWHERE CLOSE.

THE GUTTER IN FRONT OF KMAQ....THE WAY MAIN STREET LOOKS ALMOST
EVERYWHERE.    WON'T BE LONG...A COUPLE WEEKS...AND ABOVE DISAPPEARS TO MAKE WAY FOR THE NEW.

AT "THE PIE HOUSE" IN BELLEVUE (ON THE CORNER WHERE MARILYN'S
CANDY STORE WAS FOR MANY YEARS) THEY ARE NOW ALSO DOING CAKES.
WE'LL HAVE ONE ON OUR NEXT SATURDAY MORNING KMAQ AUCTION
SHOW, ON APRIL 23RD FROM 9 A.M. UNTIL 11 A.M.

THEY COME FROM FAR AND WIDE TO "CODFISH HOLLOW BARNSTORMERS"
CONCERTS IN THE HILLS OF JACKSON COUNTY, JUST OFF CODFISH HOLLOW ROAD.    FROM WISCONSIN, ILLINOIS, AND FURTHER.    THEY COME TO SEE FAMOUS PROFESSIONAL MUSICIANS.    TIFFANY BIEHL SENT ME EMAILS THIS WEEK SAYING THEY  HAVE MORE CONCERTS BOOKED.      ON APRIL 30TH...JUNE 18TH...AUGUST 21ST.     FOR MORE COMING CONCERTS, PHOTOS AND MORE, YOU NEED TO GO TO THEIR  WEB SITE:   WWW.CODFISHHOLLOWBARNSTORMERS.COM
NORAH JONES WAS THE MOST FAMOUS SINGER TO APPEAR THERE.    I THINK THAT  WAS A COUPLE YEARS AGO.    THE BARN CONCERTS HAVE BEEN
HELD (ABOUT 15 MINUTES NORTHEAST OF MAQUOKETA) ABOUT 5 YEARS.

THE MAQUOKETA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE HAS ANNOUNED BANDS FOR THE NEW SUMMER CONCERT SERIES IN DOWNTOWN MAQUOKETA.
THEY WILL BE HELD THE 2ND SUNDAY OF EACH MONTH.
MAY 8TH, THE WAY DOWN WANDERERS
JUNE 12, THE EASTERN IOWA BRASS BAND
JULY 10TH, THE BLACK VELVET BAND
AUGUST 14, DIRTY RICE
SEPTEMBER 11, MICHAEL REED BAND
ALL FREE.

MANY OF YOU REMEMBER REGINA SAGERS.   SHE LIVES IN A HOME IN
AMANA AND WILL BE 103 THIS SUNDAY.
RED HENTON WILL BE 96 THIS SEPTEMBER.

REMEMBER JACK BENNY?     HE WAS ALWAYS 39.    I WILL BE 39 MAY 4TH.
