FRIDAY DAILY REPORT

64 TODAY BUT NOT A LOT OF SUNSHINE.
MORE SUN TOMORROW AND 68 FOR A HIGH
SUNDAY, PARTLY SUNNY AND 78.
MONDAY, 50% CHANCE OF RAIN, PARTLY SUNNY WITH A HIGH OF 75.

THE MAQUOKETA KIWANIS CLUB 5-PERSON, BEST-SHOT, 9-HOLE GOLF
TOURNAMENT AT THE MAQUOKETA COUNTRY CLUB WILL BE HELD
ON MAY 25TH.   SIGN-UP WITH DON CARSON, BOB GAVIN, DAVID SYBESMA
OR DOUG KNICKREM.

SUNSHINE  PRE-SCHOOL ANNOUNCED THIS WEEK THAT WILL WILL BE
CLOSING THEIR ANDREW LOCATION, WHICH THEY  OPENED LAST OCTOBER.
THE HOPE IS NOW THAT THE ANDREW SCHOOL DISTRICT WILL TAKE
IT OVER.   LOW ENROLLMENT WAS THE REASON.   THE MAIN SCHOOL
IN MAQUOKETA WILL CONTINUE AS ALWAYS.

THE MAQUOKETA FFA CHAPTER IS THE SECOND OLDEST IN IOWA AND
THE 87TH ANNUAL PARENT MEMBER RECOGNITION NIGHT IS THIS
SUNDAY, BEGINNING AT 6 P.M. AT ST. MARK'S EPISCOPAL CHURCH ANNEX
IN MAQUOKETA.       THE FFA WILL BE CELEBRATING ANOTHER VERY SUCCESSFUL YEAR.  

GORDY AND DEBBIE ARE COMING TO MAQUOKETA IN MAY.
MORE ABOUT THEM LATER.

ONCE AGAIN, KMAQ HAD DONE SOMETHING TO SERVE YOU BEYOND NEWS, WEATHER, SPORTS AND MUSIC.    WE NOW HAVE A NEW SEWER PIPE AT THE WEST END OF OUR BUILDING.   WHILE IT WAS PUT IN THIS MORNING, WE WERE WITHOUT WATER FOR A COUPLE HOURS.    AND WE SURVIVED.  
AND YES...THE NEW PIPE IS DOING WELL....THINGS SEEM TO BE  FLOWING LIKE NEVER BEFORE.

  1. karma and high priced fee got to sunshine, no one unless your a person with a lot of disposable income can afford what they charge. i thought it was terrible when they went around to all the people that provide daycare to shut them down before they started up, only to think that people would go to them last october, karma!
