MONDAY DAILY REPORT

TODAY WAS THE BIG DAY FOR KIDS IN MAQUOKETA!



AS ALWAYS...FIRST THE WEATHER.
SUNDAY STARTED OFF EARLY WITH .2 INCH OF RAIN BUT THEN TURNED
OUT TO BE A BEAUTIFUL DAY.
TODAY, VERY NICE AND HIGH OF 74, BUT BREEZY.    TOMORROW, SUNNY AND
A HIGH OF 71.    WEDNESDAY, SUNNY AND 74.   THURSDAY, SUNNY AND 78 AND FRIDAY, PARTLY SUNNY AND 76.

HILLIARY CLINTON IS COMING TO BALDWIN WEDNESDAY, ALONG WITH
FORMER GOVERNOR AND U.S. SECRETARY OF AGRICULTURE TOM VILSACK.
THEY WILL BE AT  TABOR WINERY AROUND 7 P.M.  AND THE PUBLIC IS WELCOME.   SHE IS EXPECTED TO SPEAK AROUND 7:30.

MOZART'S COMIC OPERA....Cosi fan tutte....IS COMING TO THE MAQUOKETA ART EXPERIENCE AT 7 P.M. THIS SATURDAY.    IT WILL BE PERFORMED
BY THE IOWA CITY CONCERT OPERA AND SUNG IN ITALIAN, WITH ENGLISH
EXPLANATION.    THERE WILL BE NO ADMISSION, BUT DONATIONS WILL BE
WELCOME.    IMAGINE.....AN OPERA IN MAQUOKETA.

MAQUOKETA POLICE OFFICER JAYSON HEIAR INVESTIGATED A TWO-VEHICLE ACCIDENT LAST THURSDAY, INVOLING JAMES DEUTMEYER, AGE 71,OF
MAQUOKETA AND SHAWN VAZQUEZ, AGE 52, OF MAQUOKETA.    
DUETMEYER STOPPED FOR A VEHICLE IN FRONT OF HIM ON NORTH MAIN STREET AS THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF HIM WAS FINISHING PARKING AND AS DEUTMEYE WAITED, VAZQUES STRUCK THE REAR OF THE DEUTMEYER
CAR.   NO INJURIES.    VAZQUEZ WAS CHARGED.

IOWA AG SECRETARY BILL NORTHEY WILL BE IN MAQUOKETA FRIDAY
AFTERNOON AT 2 P.M. TO TOUR P & K MIDWEST (JOHN DEERE) DEALER
JUST SOUTH OF MAQUOKETA.

THE MAQUOKETA YMCA POOL IS CLOSED FOR REPAINTING, FOR ABOUT 3 WEEKS.    A GRANT WAS RECEIVED TO DO THE JOB.

DAVID RICHARDS OF MAQUOKETA RECENTLY EARNED HIS "FELLOW" DESIGNATION FROM THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF ENROLLED AGENTS.

SANDY BRADY, AGE 75,  OF ASHTON, ILLINOIS  AND FORMERLY OF MAQUOKETA, DIED FRIDAY AT ST. ANTHONY'S IN ROCKFORD AFTER A BRIEF ILLNESS.     SHE WAS BORN TO THE LATE LYLE AND PAULINE
BRADY OF MAQUOKETA.      SHE IS SURVIVED BY 3 AUNTS, INCLUDING
GLATHA WINCHIP OF MAQUOKETA.    GRAVESIDE SERVICES WILL BE
HELD FRIDAY AT 11:30 AT MT. HOPE CEMETERY IN MAQUOKETA.
LYONS FUNERAL HOME IN ROCHELLE, ILLINOIS IS ASSISTING THE FAMILY.

CENTER IN MAQUOKETA SEPTEMBER 5TH.     TWO TICKETS ARE ON
