BEN KOBER, JACKSON COUNTY ZONING ADMINISTRATOR, WAS AT THE
SUPERVISOR'S MEETING AGAIN THIS WEEK AND TALKED ABOUT THE
HOUSE NEAR THE ENTRANCE TO THE CAVES, AND IN NEED OF CLEAN-UP, ESPECIALLY MOWING. THE COUNTY HAS HIRED "BURNS CUTTING EDGE"
TO DO THE WORK THIS SATURDAY, AND THE COST WILL BE ASSESSED TO
THE OWNER'S (TWO QUAD CITY MEN) ON THEIR TAX BILL. KOBER
RECOMMENDED THAT A DEPUTY WOULD BE THERE AND IT WAS AGREED
BY THE SUPERVISORS TO HAVE A DEPUTY ON HAND FOR THE PROTECTION
OF WORKERS, IF NEEDED.
A COUPLE OF COUNTY APPOINTMENTS TUESDAY. MONICA McHUGH WAS
REAPPONTED TO THE ZONING COMMISSION FOR A 5-YEAR TERM AND CLAY ROMER RESIGNED FROM THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION. FOR THAT
COMMISSION, TAMMY MILLER WILL REPLACE ROMER AND WAS APPOINTED TO A 6 YEAR TERM AND BOB HEAD WAS REAPPOINTED TO A 6 YEAR TERM
ON THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION.
"PIXELS" IS SHOWING NOW AT BOTH THE DOWNTOWN VOY THEATRE AND
THE 61 DRIVE-IN.
REMEMBER AT THE END OF THE VIET NAM WAR, U.S. HELICOPTERS WERE
PUSHED OVER BOARD INTO THE OCEAN.

STARTS AT 10 A.M. AND A RE-ENACHTMENT OF THE FAMOUS "BELLEVUE
WAR" STARTS AT 3 P.M. DOWNTOWN BY THE HOTEL. BELLEVUE IS ALSO
CELEBRATING 175 YEARS AS A JACKSON COUNTY CITY.
