MONDAY DAILY REPORT

HOT AND HUMID TODAY, HIGH OF 88.
TORNADO-WATCH FOR OUR AREA UNTIL 11 TONIGHT.
LOW TONIGHT, 69.
TOMORROW, SUNNY AND 85.
WEDNEDAY, FIRST DAY FOR CLINTON COUNTY FAIR, SUNNY AND 81.

THE  "RELAY FOR LIFE"
FOR JACKSON COUNTY FRIDAY NIGHT RAISED
$64,000.

FRIDAY, THE FIRST NEW WINDOW WAS PLACED AT THE LA CASA de PANCHO MEXICAN RESTAURANT BUILDING ON THE CORNER OF MAIN AND PLATT
STREET, INSTALLED BY SCHULLER AND SONS.    IT WAS THE PILOT WINDOW TO DETERMINE THE TIME NEEDED TO DO ALL THE WINDOWS.     ALL WILL BE
REPLACED BY THE END OF THE MONTH.   AND THERE WILL BE PAINTING
TOO IN AUGUST AND DECORATIVE CORNICE WORK ON THE SOUTH SIDE TO
BE COMPLETED IN SEPTEMBER.    SHOULD BE NICE AND LEAD PLANS FOR
AN IMPROVED DOWNTOWN APPEARANCE, ALONG WITH THE STREET SCAPE AND  OTHER PLANS.

THE MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL TEAM LOST A DOUBLE-HEADER TO SOLON FRIDAY NIGHT AND NOW TOURNAMENT TIME IS AHEAD.   THE CARDS CURRENTLY  HAVE A 7 AND 28  RECORD.

OF THE FAIRGROUNDS.   THE NICE STONE AND FLOWER SETTING WAS
SUGGESTED BY JUDY TONDERUM AND DONE BY HER FELLOW MASTER
GARDENERS.    THE FAIR IS GETTING CLOSE....AND ON THE ROTARY WEB SITE BLOG (CLICK TO IT ON THE KMAQ HOME PAGE) PLACE YOUR SILENT BID FOR TWO DAY-TICKETS TO THE FAIR, WHICH WILL BE JULY 29TH
THROUGH AUGUST 2ND IN MAQUOKETA.

"MINIONS" WAS THE #1 MOVIE IN THE COUNTRY OVER THE WEEKEND AND
WAS SHOWING WITH NEAR RECORD CROWDS AT THE VOY 1 THEATRE
AND ALSO THE 61 DRIVE-IN THEATRE.   KIDS LOVED IT AND SO DID PARENTS.
THE CLEAN-UP WAS BIG AND THE TRAIN GAVE MANY RIDES.    "MINIONS" IS AT 9 TONIGHT AT THE DRIVE-IN FOLLOWED BY JURASIC WORLD AFTER.
THE VOY THEATRE IS CLOSED EVERY MONDAY NIGHT, BUT YOU CAN
SEE "MINIONS" AT 7 TOMORROW NIGHT AT THE VOY 1.
WITH ALL THE RAIN THIS YEAR OUR FLOWERS AT THE DRIVE-IN THEATRE
HAVE REALLY GROWN AND LOOK BETTER THAN ANY PAST YEAR


WE WENT SUNDAY NIGHT TO THE BIG SUGAR CREEK DINNER.    IT IS ONE
OF THE BIGGEST OF THE SUMMER WITH MUSIC, GAMES, GREAT FOOD
AND DESSERTS.    NICE TURNOUT AGAIN THIS  YEAR.

THE "BINGO" MUSICAL AT OHNWARD FINE ARTS WAS PUT ON THIS PAST
WEEKEND, BY OHNWARD AND THE PEACE PIPE PLAYERS.   DID NOT HAVE
TIME TO SEE IT, BUT HEARD IT WAS VERY GOOD AND SEEN BY ABOUT
600.
