CELEBRATION.   I WAS THERE AND HAVE NEVER SEEN SO MANY CARS
IN THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER TOWN.   THEY WERE ALL OVER THE CITY.
AND JANET KEIL OF RURAL BELLEVUE IS VERY HAPPY ABOUT THE WEEKEND AS SHE WON THE NEW CAR IN THE CHAMBER RAFFLE.     SHE PURCHASED
RAFFLE TICKETS FOR THE FIRST TIME .. BUYING 5 FOR $100.    SHE HAS
NOT DECIDED IF SHE WILL TAKE THE CAR OR $15,000 IN CASH.     AS
SHE IS A SENIOR CITIZEN, SHE WANTS TO CHECK HOW IT IS TO GET IN AND
OUT OF THE CAR.     THE $500 EARLIER DRAWING OVER THE WEEKEND
WAS WON BY A MAN FROM MANCHESTER.

MAQUOKETA WAS A PRETTY QUIET TOWN SATURDAY AND THE DAY ENDED
WITH A FIREWORKS DISPLAY AT THE FAIRGROUNDS.
BUT REMEMBER, MAQUOKETA HAS THE COUNTY FAIR EVERY JULY FEATURING A PARADE AND 5 DAYS OF FUN.    LOTS OF WORK IS BEING
DONE GETTING READY FOR IT.

JUST EAST OF THE BANK AND WILL TAKE THE BUILDING DOWN AND USE
THE LAND FOR EXPANSION LATER ON.
KELLAMS AND BERTCH RELOCATES TO A BUILDING PURCHASED ON
EAST PERSHING ROAD ON MAQUOKETA'S NORTH END.    BALLIU CONSTRUCTION IS DOING WORK ON THE BUILDING, GETTING IT
READY FOR THE MOVE.   LEE COOK IS THE OWNER OF THE BUSINESS.   IT SHOULD BE A GOOD MOVE FOR BOTH BUSINESSES.

THE MINIONS COME TO THE VOY THEATRE THIS FRIDAY AND THE 61 DRIVE-IN THIS THURSDAY NIGHT.   FRIDAY AFTERNOON THERE WILL BE SPECIAL AFTERNOON SHOWINGS FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO BE THE FIRST TO SEE WHAT IS EXPECTED TO BE ONE OF THE  BIGGEST AND MOST POPULAR SUMMER MOVIES.    A MOVIE FOR ALL AGES.

BE SURE TO SEE THE PHOTOS BELOW OF THE TIMBER CITY BAND
