TUESDAY DAILY REPORT

1/4 INCH OF RAIN YESTERDAY.
A RECENT WATER SUMMARY UPDATE FROM THE DNR SAYS THE KMAQ
AREA IS  ABOVE NORMAL PRECIPITATION AT THIS TIME OF THE YEAR.
JACKSON AND CLINTON COUNTIES RECEIVED THE  HIGHEST RAINFALLS
IN THE STATE THE LAST 3 WEEKS.    IN BELLEVUE, 9.64 INCHES OF RAIN
WAS RECORDED OVER A 3-WEEK PERIOD IN JUNE AND 10.10 INCHES
RECORDED IN LOST NATION.     THE STATE-WIDE AVERAGE WAS 4.81 INCHES FROM JUNE 2ND TO  JUNE 23RD.

TONIGHT, NO RAIN.

THE LARGEST MINIATURE RODEO SHOW IN THE WORLD IS COMING TO THE JACKSON COUNTY FAIR ON JULY 29TH.    EVERYTHING FROM BUCKING BULLS, TO BAREBACK RIDING AND BARREL RACING AND MORE.    THE RODEO FEATURES CHILDREN OF ALL AGES RIDING AND RACING THROUGH THE DIRT.     IT WILL BE PUT ON IN FRONT OF THE GRANDSTAND RIGHT
AFTER THE WEDNESDAY NIGHT PARADE, AT ABOUT 8:30.

DOROTHY LAMAR, AGE 86, OF OLATHE, KANSAS AND FORMERLY OF
MAQUOKETA, DIED FRIDAY AT A NURSING HOME IN OLATHE.   SHE IS
SURVIVED BY TWO SONS, DAN AND ROCKY AND 2 GRANDCHILDREN.
THERE WILL BE A BURIAL SERVICE IN MAQUOKETA AT MT. HOPE CEMETERY
AT 10 A.M. SATURDAY, JULY 11TH.

LAST NIGHT, THE DEWITT AND MAQUOKETA BOYS BASEBALL GAME AT
DEWITT WAS POSTPONED IN THE 8TH INNING BECAUSE OF LIGHTNING.
IT WILL BE FINISHED TONIGHT.
THE GIRLS GAME ALSO WAS POSTPONED (UNTIL NEXT TUESDAY) WITH
MAQUOKETA OUT IN FRONT, 6 TO 0.
