THURSDAY DAILY REPORT

IT IS THE  MIDDLE OF THE AFTERNOON AND RAINING IN MAQUOKETA.

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, LOOKING PRETTY GOOD.

SUNDAY, GRADUATION DAY, CHANCE OF RAIN.

TWO CAR ACCIDENT YESTERDAY AFTERNOON AROUND 2 P.M. ON
EAST PLATT, NEAR THE EAGLES CLUB.    KILEY MILLER, AGE 26, OF
MAQUOKETA WAS TRAVELING EAST AND FAILED TO SEE THE VEHICLE
APPROACHING, DRIVEN BY JUDITH CARR, AGE 51, OF MAQUOKETA.
MILLER TURNED LEFT IN FRONT OF CARR AND CARR COULD NOT
GET STOPPED AND STRUCK THE SIDE OF MILLER'S CAR.    KILEY
MILLER HAD A MINOR INJURY AND CARR WAS NOT INJURED.     MILLER'S CAR IS A 2004 PONTIAC HAD $2,000 IN DAMAGES AND CARR'S 2011 GMC TERRAIN ABOUT $4,000.   MILLER WAS CITED FOR NOT YIELDING UPON MAKING
A LEFT TURN.

THE MAQUOKETA KIWANIS CLUB ANNOUNCED THE RECIPIENTS OF THEIR ANNUAL SCHLORSHIPS, A TOTAL OF 5.
LIZ GAVIN, $1,000....McKINZIE INTELKOFER, $500....NICOLE FURNE, $500....
JAKE SCHWENKER, $500 AND WADE GERLACH, $500.

THE MAQUOKETA MEN'S BOWLING ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING WAS
HELD LAST NIGHT AT THE EAGLES  CLUB, WITH GUESTS FOR DINNER FROM
BELLEVUE, CEDAR RAPIDS, CAMANCHE, DAVENPORT AND DUBUQUE.
THE NEW PRESIDENT FOR THE UPCOMNG YEAR IS JAY SMITH OF
MAQUOKETA, REPLACING MILE OLSON OF MAQUOKETA.    JOHN DAEHLER
WILL CONTINUE ON AS ASSOCIATION MANAGER.
ELECTED HONORARY MEMBER, NICK KEYS OF MAQUOKETA AND
ELECTED TO THE ASSOCIATION'S HALL OF FAME, LONGTIME MAQUOKETA
BOWLER, DAVE CLARK.

THE ST. LOUIS CARDINALS WON AGAIN TODAY AND MANY HEARD THE AFTERNOON GAME ON KMAQ-FM.     THE CARDS, CURRENTLY THE BEST TEAM IN THE MAJOR LEAGUES,  CAME FROM BEHIND TO WIN 2 TO 1 OVER CLEVELAND  AND REMAIN COMFORTABLY IN FIRST PLACE.     WE ARE
IN OUR 31ST YEAR OF BROADCASTING ST. LOUIS BASEBALL AND
THIS YEAR THE CARDS ARE OFF TO ONE OF THEIR BEST STARTS.

SUNDAY AFTERNOON, WE WILL HAVE THE MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL
GRADUATION CEREMONIES ON KMAQ-FM AND ON OUR WEB SITE.

AND TURN ON THE LITTLE RADIO THERE.
