THURSDAY DAILY REPORT

SUNNY BUT COLD...HIGH 17.
THE MUCH WARMER WEATHER STARTS TOMORROW.'

TWO CHILDREN WERE TREATED FOR POSSIBLE INJURIES AFTER A TWO
CAR ACCIDENT TUESDAY MORNING IN DUBUQUE.   DAVID NISSEN, AGE 56,
OF MAQUOKETA, WAS DRIVING NORTH ON LOCUST AROUND 7 P.M. WHEN HE RAN A RED LIGHT AND STRUCK ANOTHER VEHICLE, DRIVEN BY A DUBUQUE
WOMAN.    HER 2 CHILDREN WERE TAKEN BY AMBULANCE TO FINELY
HOSPITAL WITH POSSIBLE INJURIES.    NISSEN TOLD DUBUQUE POLICE
HE WAS LOOKING FOR A STREET SIGN AND DID  NOT PAY ATTENTION
TO THE TRAFFIC LIGHT.   HE WAS CITED.

IN SPORTS, MCHS JUNIOR JONTHON ERNST WHO LED THE MAQUOKETA BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM IN SCORING THIS WEEK WAS NAMED TO THE SECOND TEAM OF THE  ALL-CONFERENCE EAST DIVISION.

THE WRESTLING BANQUET IS AT 5 THIS SUNDAY, A POTLUCK, AT THE
HIGH SCHOOL.    ALL PLAYERS, PARENTS AND FANS ARE INVITED.
