THE MAQUOKETA BOYS BASKETBALL TEAM LOST TO DAVENPORT ASSUMPTION, THERE, LAST NIGHT.... 56 TO 38....TO END THE SEASON WITH THOSE LATE-IN-SEASON 4 WINS.
DEWITT ALSO LOST.   VERY DOUBTFUL WE WILL HAVE ANY AREA HIGH SCHOOL TEAMS MAKE IT TO STATE.

MILT SCHECKEL, AGE 91, OF BELLEVUE, DIED SUNDAY.   THE FUNERAL
IS SATURDAY.    HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE ARLETA AND THREE SONS AND TWO DAUGHTERS, INCLUDING GAIL  HANLON OF MAQUOKETA.
HACKMANN FUNERAL HOME IN BELLEVUE IS IN CHARGE OF ARRANGEMENTS.
