SHOPPERS IN THEIR STORES WITH SPECIAL PRICES AND HOLIDAY TREATS.
CHRISTMAS FAVORITE CAROLS COULD BE HEARD DOWNTOWN ON THE
PUBLIC ADDRESS SPEAKERS MOUNTED ON VARIOUS LIGHT POLES.
SHORTLY AFTER 5, THE FIRE TRUCK BROUGHT SANTA TO THE FRONT OF THE POST OFFICE WHERE HE SANG TO THE KIDS AND TOLD STORIES. THEN
HE MOVED TO THE BIG CHRISTMAS TREE SOUTH OF THE POST OFFICE AND AT THE COUNT OF 3 BY THE KIDS, THE TREE LIGHTED UP TO OOOS AND AAAHS. SOME SUNSHINE PRE-SCHOOL KIDS WERE ON HAND AT ON THE STEPS OF THE POST OFFICE, TO SING SUNSHINE FAVORITES "KATY THE
CATERPILLER" AND "WANDA THE WORM" AND SOME CHRISTMAS SONGS.
HO HO HO...IT WAS A FUN CHRISTMAS SHOPPING KICK-OFF TODAY IN
MAQUOKETA.
