TUESDAY DAILY REPORT

COOLER THE REST OF THE WEEK

BELLEVUE MARQUETTE GIRLS JUST LOST THEIR STATE GAME THIS
AFTERNOON, 2 TO 0.       THEY PLAY TWO CONSOLATION GAMES TOMORROW.

THE MAQUOKETA YOUTH TRAP TEAM BECAME NATIONAL CHAMPIONS
FRIDAY AND SATURDAY IN SPARTA, ILLINOIS.   TEAMS FROM 26 STATES
TOOK PART.   THE MAQUOKETA VARSITY TEAM CAME OUT ON TOP, SHOOTING
972 OUT OF 1,000 BIRDS.    SAM FOWLER LED THE WAY FOR MAQUOKETA,
KNOCKING DOWN 199 OUT OF 200 CLAY PIDGEONS    THAT WAS GOOD FOR
2ND PLACE IN THE NATION.    HE WAS 5TH LAST YEAR IN THE NATIONAL.
THE REST OF THE VARSITY TEAM INCLUDES LANE DUNDEE,  JAKE SCHWENKER, BRAD SCHEIBE AND COLTON MANNING.

ONE MORE NOTE....KAITLYN LANE...A MAQUOKETA 6TH GRADER, TOOK PART AS AN INDIVIDUAL IN THE JUNIOR HIGH DIVISION AND FINISHED 6TH IN THE COUNTRY BY SHOOTING 176 OUT OF 200 BIRDS.

THE ALL-CONFERENCE SOFTBALL TEAM FOR THE WAMAC CONFERENCE
WAS ANNOUNCED THIS WEEK AND ON THE FIRST TEAM, MAQUOKETA SENIOR OUTFIELDER DEMI CRIST.

DEWITT LOST IN THE BOY'S TOURNAMENT LAST NIGHT TO DAVENPORT
ASSUMPTION, LOOSING IN THE LAST INNING.  

LONGTIME CARDINAL BASEBALL COACH PAT BOLLMAN HAS RESIGNED AS BASEBALL  COACH AFTER COACHING 31 SEASONS, 22 IN THE MAQUOKETA
SCHOOL DISTRICT.     HE WILL BE MISSED, BUT SAID HE WILL VOLUNTEER
TO HELP OUT WITH THE MAQUOKETA BASEBALL PROGRAM.    HE IS ALSO
PRINCIPAL AT BRIGG'S ELEMENTARY.

THERE HAS BEEN VANDALISM AT THE NEW LITTLE BEAR PARK.   ONCE
COUNCILMAN AT THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING LAST NIGHT, ED TURNEY,
MADE A STRONG PLEA TO PARENTS AND RESIDENTS TO CALL POLICE
IF THEY SEE VANDALISM TO THE PARK.    COUCILMAN CORY SIMONSON SAID THE VANCALISM APPEARS TO BE DONE BY 18-22 YEAR OLDS, NOT KIDS.

KMAQ WILL BROADCAST THE FAIR PARADE TOMORROW NIGHT AND WILL ALSO BROADCAST IT ON OUR INTERNET SITE, STARTING SHORTLY AFTER
