WEDNESDAY DAILY REPORT


TEMPERATURES ARE 10-12 DEGREES LOWER THAN NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR.   AND THIS WON'T CHANGE FOR A FEW DAYS.

THE ANDREW LIONS SWEET CORN IS PLANTED.   FOUR SCHOLARSHIPS WERE PRESENTED THIS MONTH FROM LAST YEAR'S CROP.

THE  PEACE PIPE PLAYERS $500 SCHOLARSHIP  GOES TO CHARLES CRAIG, SENIOR AT MCHS AND SON OF ALAN AND JOLENE CRAIG.

THE ROTARY TWO $1,000 SCHOLARSHIPS GO TO  MARISSA TILL, DAUGHTER OF ALLEN AND KAREN TILL AND MORGAN VERVAECKE, DAUGHTER OF MARK AND CINDY VERVAECKE.

THE SUPERVISORS HAVE REJECTED THE TWO BIDS FOR THE NEARLY 3 ACRES OF LAND OWNED BY THE COUNTY IN MAQUOKETA.   THEY
NOW THINK IT MAY BE THE LAND THEY COULD USE SOME DAY FOR A NEW
JAIL.

A DAUGHTER BORN TO BRYAN AND STEFFANY DUHME OF MAQUOKETA  MAY 4TH AT MERCY IN DUBUQUE.    GRANDPARENTS ARE STEVE AND SHERRY PETERS OF ANDREW AND RANDY AND LINDA DUHME OF MAQUOKETA.

FOR BREITBACH FLOOR COVERING IN MAQUOKETA, MAY IS THEIR 29TH MAY IN BUSINESS IN DOWNTOWN MAQUOKETA,.
