ST. REP. BRIAN MOORE (R-BELLEVUE) ANNOUNCED TODAY HE WILL SEEK
RE-ELECTION. HE REPRESENTS ALL OF JACKSON COUNTY AND PORTIONS
OF JONES AND DUBUQUE COUNTIES. HE OWNS AND OPERATES ELWOOD TRUCKING, HIS WIFE IS A TEACHER AT MARQUETTE HIGH SCHOOL IN
BELLEVUE AND THE COUPLE HAVE 8 CHILDREN AND 3 GRANDCHILDREN.
A MAQUOKETA MAN HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH SLITTING THE THROAT OF HIS DOG AFTER IT RAN AWAY AND WHEN IT CAME HOME. ANDREW HARLAND,
AGE 19, ADMITTED SLITTING THE THROAT BECAUSE HE WAS ANGRY AT THE DOG FOR RUNNING AWAY. THIS HAPPENED FEBRUARY 10TH BUT NOT
ANNOUNCED UNTIL TODAY. OFFICERS RECEIVED A REPORT OF A
DECEASED DOG AT 8 P.M. THAT NIGHT AT 403 N. 5TH STREET IN
BELLEVUE. HE HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH ANIMAL NEGLECT.
COUNTY RESIDENTS CAN FILE FOR FIVE COUNTY OFFICES UNTIL HE END OF THE MONTH. THE FIRST TO FILE IS SARA DAVENPORT OF MAQUOKETA,
COUNTY ATTORNEY. SUPERVISOR STEVE FLYNN HAS ANNOUNCED HE
WILL NOT SEEK RE-ELECTION AND SUPERVISOR JACK WILLEY SAID HE WILL, BUT HAS NOT YET FILED HIS PAPERS.
