VINTON-SHELLSBURG.
THE BOYS LOST BUT THE GIRLS WON.   BEST BOYS GAME WAS A 201 BY
DALTON WAUGH.      BEST GIRLS GAME WAS A 161 BY AMANDA BRUNDAGE.

MAQUOKETA MUNICIPAL ELECTRIC BOARD MEMBERS PLAN TO INTERVIEW
SEVEN APPLICANTS FOR THE MMEU MANAGER JOB.    THEY RECEIVED
A TOTAL OF 12 APPLICATIONS.   THREE TO BE INTERVIEWED ARE INTERNAL APPLICANTS AND THEIR NAMES WERE NOT RELEASED.
THE BOARD, AT THEIR MEETING THIS WEEK, ELECTED DAWN PAUL AS CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD.     DAVE KNOEBEL, VICE-CHAIRMAN AND CAROLINE BYBEE SECRETARY.

CITY COUNCIL MEETING TONIGHT.

POLICE BLOTTER:
PATTY HICKS REPORTED SOMEONE TOOK FOOD FROM HER HOME
TUESDAY NIGHT.
SPAIN OIL REPORT A GAS DRIVE-OFF YESTERDAY AFTERNOON.
AND SOME TABLETS AND COMPUTERS TAKEN FROM THE MIDDLE SCHOOL CAFETERIA WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON OR EVENING.

CHRISTIAN DUNDEE, AGE 21,OF MAQUOKETA AND KEHPAS FRANK,
AGE 25, OF MAQUOKETA WERE IN A TWO CAR ACCIDENT AROUND 9 LAST NIGHT AT DEARBORN AND APPLE STREETS.     DUNDEE WAS CHARGED WITH STOP-SIGN VIOLATION.      $1,500 DAMAGE TO EACH VEHICLE.   NO
INJURIES.

PROPAN HAS GONE UP 10 CENTS AGAIN AND IS UP TO NEARLY $3.00 A GALLON.    THE BIGGEST JUMP SINCE JANUARY 2010.     THERE IS A SHORTAGE.    HERE IN THE MIDWEST, PROPANE IS USED MORE THAN ANY OTHER REGION FOR HOME HEATING AND DRYING CROPS.

LOOSE BRICKS ARE BEING REPLACED ON THE MAQUOKETA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BUILDING DOWNTOWN.    THE CHAMBER OWNS THE BUILDING.
WHEN I SAW THE SCAFFOLDING, I THOUGHT THEY WERE REPLACING WINDOWS.     NO, THE WINDOWS ARE GOOD!

THE LONE SURVIVOR STARTS TOMORROW AT THE VOY 3 THEATRE.
BASED ON A TRUE STORY, IT HAS BEEN DOING BIG BUSINESS.

I AM GOING TO BE ENDING THE DAILY SOME NIGHTS WITH AN INTERESTING FACT OR TWO ABOUT IOWA.
