ON THE (JACKSON COUNTY) ROAD AGAIN

BREAKFAST IN NORTHERN JACKSON COUNTY.   IT IS A BIG ONE...AROUND 2,000 EVERY YEAR, WITH THE FOCUS ON THEIR SECRET RECIPE SAUSAGE.
IT OVERLOOKS ST. DONATUS BELOW AND IN BACK, A SMALL MOUNTAIN
THAT NEARLY 1,000 CLIMB EVERY GOOD FRIDAY.
THE WAY OF THE CROSS ENDS UP AT THE LITTLE CHAPEL ABOVE.
WE ATE BREAKFAST (PANCAKES AND SAUSAGE, ALL COULD EAT) IN THIS BUILDING NEXT TO THE CHURCH.   SAW A FEW FROM MAQUOKETA THERE.
SUPERVISOR "BUCK"  KOOS WAS HELPING SERVE.

BEAUTIFUL CHURCH.   THE FIRST BREAKFAST WAS 50 YEARS AGO, IN
1963, SO TODAY WAS A SPECIAL DAY.   IT WASN'T LONG AFTER THAT
AND PRES. KENNEDY WAS ASSASSINATED IN DALLAS.

      NEXT, ON THE WAY HOME.....
ON BACK ROADS.....

A LITTLE WAY PAST THE ABOVE CHURCH, THE LITTLE FRITZ CHAPEL.

ON THE ROAD HOME, ON SIDE
ROADS...

NICE HOMES IN RURAL JACKSON COUNTY.....

BELOW....WENT PAST THE THEISEN'S FARM...
PROBABLY JACKSON COUNTY'S LARGEST.... SEVERAL THOUSAND ACRES...
BEANS AND CORN....
FATHER AND 3 SONS....
AND I'M TOLD 3 HIRED HANDS....
BELOW, THEIR STORAGE BINS....
AND DRYING EQUIPMET....

BEAUTIFUL JACKSON COUNTY!
WE LOVE DRIVING IT'S HILLY WINDING ROADS!
