TWO ACCIDENTS, MORNING AND NIGHT, YESTERDAY AT HIGHWAY 61 AND HURSTVILLE ROAD JUST NORTH OF MAQUOKETA. STILL NO DETAILS
ON THE MORNING ACCIDENT. THE EVENING ONE, AROUND 7 P.M., ALSO
INVOLVED A SEMI HITTING A CAR. THE CAR WAS DRIVEN BY TAYLOR
MULLER, AGE 22, OF MAQUOKETA. RIDING WITH HER, A 15 YEAR OLD
PASSENGER. THE TWO AND THE SEMI DRIVER WERE ALL TAKEN
TO THE HOSPITAL WITH MINOR INJURIES. PAINT SPILLED FROM THE
SEMI AND THE HAZARDOUS MATERIALS CLEAN-UP TOOK UNTIL 3 THIS
MORNING. NORTHBOUND LANES OF HIGHWAY 61 WERE CLOSED FOR SEVERAL HOURS. THE TRUCK DRIVER IS FROM ELDRIDGE.
DONNA HEISTER, AGE 51, OF MAQUOKETA, DIED LAST NIGHT AT HER
HOME FOLLOWING A BATTLE WITH CANCER. SHE WAS OWNER OF
OBIE'S RESTAURANT IN MAQUOKETA. THE FUNERAL SERVICE WILL
BE AT 10:30 FRIDAY MORNING. GOOGLE LAW-JONES FUNERAL HOME
IN PRESTON FOR THE FULL OBITUARY.
