YESTERDAY, THE 5TH ANNIVERSARY WAS CELEBRATED AT THE MUSEUM!
IT FEATURED A WAFFLE SUPPER.
TOURS OF THE MUSEUM.
SPECIAL OUT-OF-TOWN GUESTS.
AND A SPECIAL PROGRAM OUT IN BACK WHERE THE BRICK GARDEN WAS
DEDICATED, COMPLETE WITH TWO NEW BENCHES AND NICE TREES.

CHARLES WAS ONE OF TWO KEY PERSONS RESPONSIBLE FOR SAVING THE
OFFICE BUILDING AND MAKING IT A GREAT MUSEUM.)
BILL MAYBERRY, LONGTIME EMPLOYEE OF CLINTON ENGINES AND NOW
HISTORIAN FOR MUSEUM.
THE UNVEILING OF THE 11TH MILLION ENGINE MANUFACTURED AT THE MUSEUM. IT WAS PRESENTED TO GOV. HAROLD HUGHES. SECOND FROM
LEFT IS REBECCA DICKMAN FROM LOST NATION. SHE WORKED THIS SUMMER AT THE MUSEUMS AND SPENT A LOT OF TIME GETTING THE
ABOVE ENGINE FOR THE MUSEUM. IN FACT, WITHOUT HER EFFORTS, WE
PROBABLY WOULDN'T HAVE IT. SHE WILL BE A SENIOR IN "MUSEUM
STUDIES" AT ISU THIS FALL.
THE ENGINE IS ON LOAN TO THE MUSEUM FOR 3 YEARS, FROM THE STATE
HISTORICAL MUSEUM.

COSTS $800.....THEY ARE NICE!

ASHER SCHROEDER, MAQUOKETA NATIVE AND RETIRED ATTORNEY AND
PAST-PRESIDENT OF THE JACKSON COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY. AT RIGHT, BILL LUCKEY FROM FOND DU LAC, WISCONSIN AND CLINTON
ENGINES EMPLOYEE FROM 1950 TO 1966. NOW HE CONTINUES TO BE
A GREAT SOURCE FOR BONNIE AND STAFF OF THE CLINTON ENGINES
PLANT IN MAQUOKETA.
