CHARLIE EASTERLY IS TEH COUNSELOR RETIRING AND IT APPEARS
HIS POSITION WILL NOT BE REPLACED.
BOB AND ANN OSTERHAUS WILL CELEBRATE THEIR 60TH WEDDING
ANNIVERSARY NEXT TUESDAY, APRIL 9TH.
THE MAQUOKETA GIRLS AND BOYS HIGH SCHOOL TENNIS TEAMS
BOTH LOST THEIR MATCHES YESERDAY TO WESTERN DUBUQUE.
AND BY THE SAME SCORES....8 TO 1.
JACKSON COUNTY CONSERVATION BOARD MEMBERS APPROVED AN UPDATE TO THE COUNTY CONSERVATION RULES. THE LAST TIME THEY
WERE UPDATED WAS IN 2007.
CHANGES MADE:
TARGET SHOOTING IS PROHIBITED IN THE WILDLIFE AREA.
ALL ANIMALS MUST BE ON A LEASH ON CONSERVATION PROPERTY.
THE NEW RULES PROHIBIT URINATING IN CAMPGROUNDS.
THERE WILL CONTINUE TO BE FINES FOR VIOLATION OF PARKING
AND THE FINES HAVE BEEN INCREASED FROM $10 TO $20 PLUS COURT
COSTS AND SURCHARGES.
