SCHOOL BOARD MEETING TONIGHT.
THIS YEAR'S PROM WILL BE SATURDAY, APRIL 20TH AND AGAIN THIS
YEAR, THE MAQUOKETA KIWANIS CLUB WILL PUT ON AN AFTER-PROM
EVENT AT TIMBER LANES. THE MAIN ENTERTAINMENT WILL BE BY DR. JIM WAND, HYPNOTIST. LAST YEAR, ATTENDANCE WAS 175. IT TAKES
MONEY TO DO THIS AND ANYONE WANTING TO HELP SHOULD SEND
A CHECK (MADE OUT TO "KIWANIS AFTER PROM") AND SEND IT TO
DIANE HENRY AT THE MAQUOKETA HIGH SCHOOL, 600 WASHINGTON STREET,
MAQUOKETA.
A REMINDER, REAL ESTATE TAXES ARE DUE MARCH 31ST.
AFTER THAT, THERE IS A PENALTY.
THE MAQUOKETA ANNUAL EASTER EGG HUNT THIS YEAR WILL BE ON
SATURDAY, MARCH 23RD, AT A NEW LOCATION, THE MAQUOKETA MIDDLE
SCHOOL AND WILL AGAIN BE SPONSORED BY THE MAQUOKETA KIWANIS
CLUB. IT WILL START AT 10 A.M AND ALL CHILDREN 1-9 ARE WELCOME.
A "MEN WHO COOK" DINNER RETURNS THIS YEAR, WITH PROCEEDS TO
GO TO THE LITTLE BEAR PARK REPLACEMENT PROJECT THIS SUMMER.
