THE OLD BRIDGE IS ON THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES AND IT CAN NOT BE DEMOLISHED BEFORE THE ILLINOIS D.O.T. OFFERS IT FOR
SALE AND THE NEW OWNER THEN HAS TO MOVE IT TO A NEW LOCATION THAT WILL HAVE TO BE APPROVED BY THE ILLINOIS D.O.T.
TOMORROW WE WILL FIND OUT HOW MANY KMAQ-AREA WRESTLERS
WILL GO TO THE IOWA HIGH SCHOOL STATE TOURNAMENT STARTING

THE ODD FELLOWS EMPORIUM GIFT SHOP AND COFFEE AND SANDWICH SHOP THAT OPENED LATE LAST YEAR HAS CLOSED (LOCATED NEXT TO
THE BAKERY) AND WILL NOT RE-OPEN. OWNERS MOVING BACK TO
ARIZONA.
THE QUICK TRIP CONVENIENCE STORE IS STILL IN THE WORKS FOR
WEST PLATT STREET, ACROSS THE STREET FROM McDONALDS.
MAQUOKETA'S DOWNTOWN CHRISTMAS LIGHTS (AND BIG TREE) ARE STILL UP AND LIGHTED AT NIGHT. AND VALENTINES DAY IS THURSDAY!
