A MAQUOKETA HOME RECEIVED MINOR DAMAGE AFTER A FIRE STARTED IN THE ATTIC INSULATION THIS MORNING. LEE DECKER WAS REMODELING HIS BATHROOM ON THE SECOND FLOOR AND SAW SMOKE.
HE TRIED TO PUT OUT THE ATTIC FIRE WITH AN EXTINGUISHER BUT THAT DID NOT WORK. FIREMEN WERE CALLED AT 7:26 A.M. AND SPENT A COUPLE HOURS AT THE HOME. THERE WAS SOME STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO THE
ATTIC. THE HOME IS OWNED BY ROSIE GILMORE.
