1/4 INCH OF RAIN YESTERDAY.   
SOME RAIN EARLY THIS MORNING AGAIN.
THEN MOSTLY CLOUDY THE REST OF TODAY WITH HIGH OF 53.
TOMORROW AND SUNDAY, SUNNY AND NICE...BUT STILL ON THE COOL SIDE.

THE MAQUOKETA SCHOOL BOARD WANTS SUPT. HUCKSTADT TO DO A SURVEY TO GET FEEDBACK FROM PARENTS ON THEIR REASONS FOR OPEN ENROLLING OUT OF THE DISTRICT.    THIS SCHOOL YEAR, 119 STUDENTS
OPEN ENROLLED OUT OF THE DISTRICT AND 77 STUDENTS OPEN
ENROLLED INTO THE DISTRICT.   THAT'S A NET DEFICIT OF 42 STUDENTS.

A MAQUOKETA WOMAN, ERIN STREETER, AGE 27, HAS BEEN CHARGED WITH DRUNK DRIVING AND FAILURE TO MAINTAIN CONTROL FOLLOWING A ONE-VEHICLE ACCIDENT AT 1:30 THIS MORNING ON THE IRON BRIDGE ROAD AND HIGHWAY 62 TWO MILES SOUTH OF ANDREW.     HER CAR WENT INTO
THE DITCH AND ROLLED ONTO ITS TOP.   SHE WAS NOT INJURED.    HER 99 FORD WAS TOTALED.

TWO VEHICLES COLLIDED AT ROCKDALE ROAD AND HURSTVILLE ROAD AT 2:38 YESTERDAY AFTERNOON.    ONE CAR WAS DRIVEN BY BILL DEPPE, AGE 68, OF MAQUOKETA AND THE OTHER DRIVEN BY KAI CARLE, AGE 25, OF DEWITT.       NO INJURIES.   NO CHARGES.

TWO BIG CARDINAL GAMES TONIGHT.
THE MAQUOKETA CARDINALS HOST CLEAR CREEK-AMANA,  BOTH WITH IDENTICAL RECORDS.    THE WINNER GOES INTO THE PLAYOFFS NEXT WEEK.
MAQUOKETA HAS A BETTER TEAM AND HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE, SO SHOULD WIN.    THE GAME TONIGHT ON KMAQ-AM ONLY ...AND OUR INTERNET SITE.
MATT CLARK WILL GO ON-THE-AIR AT 7:20.

THE ST. LOUIS CARDINALS PLAY THE S.F. GIANTS TONIGHT AT 7 AND IF THE
CARDS WIN, THEY ARE IN THE WORLD SERIES AGAINST DETROIT, NEXT WEDNESDAY.  LOOSE AND THEY PLAY AGAINST THE GIANTS AGAIN SUNDAY NIGHT.    THE GAME IS ON KMAQ-FM TONIGHT.
