1.5 INCHES OF RAIN YESTERDAY....NICE SLOW, SOAKING RAIN.
TODAY AND FOR REST OF THE WEEK, BACK TO NO RAIN
AND HIGHS IN THE MID TO UPPER 80'S.
TODAY, THE HIGH WAS 85.

THE MYSTERY IS OVER REGARDING THE FLOWER GARDEN ON HIGHWAY 136.
TWO OR THREE PEOPLE KNEW THE ANSWER.
IT IS THE WORK OF JERRY AND BARB  NELSON, WHO
LIVE JUST EAST WHERE WHERE THE PHOTO WAS TAKEN BY ME
SATURDAY.    BARB EMAILED ME AND SAID IT IS NOT THE PLACE WHERE
SOMEONE DIED AND SAYS SEVERAL HAVE ALSO  THOUGHT THAT.
BARB SAYS THERE USED TO BE A WINDMILL THERE WHICH WAS KNOCKED DOWN BY A MOTORIST AND IT WOULD HAVE BEEN TO EXPENSIVE TO ERECT IT AGAIN.     JERRY TOOK SOME RAILROAD TIES, FIXED UP THE AREA THAT
SURROUNDED THE WINDMILL AND BARB STARTED PUTTING FLOWERS THERE.   SHE SAID JERRY TAKE CARE OF MOWING AND WATERING AND SHE TAKES CARE OF PLANTING, WEEDING, AND PRUNING.

POLICE BLOTTER:
RICK SCHMIDT REPORTED A CAMPER IN STORAGE HAD A WINDOW BROKEN
OUT.
STEVEN THAYER ON GROVE STREET SAID HIS WIFE'S VEHICLE WAS
BROKEN INTO FRIDAY NIGHT, BUT NOTHING WAS TAKEN.
CINDY JOHNSON SAID HER I-PAD WAS TAKEN FROM A CABINET.

SCHOOL BOARD MEETING TONIGHT.

DALE DANIELS, AGE 68, OF MILES DIED SATURDAY AT HIS HOME.
SURVIVORS INCLUDE TWO SISTERS IN MAQUOKETA, MARILYN WILLIAMS  AND
BEVERLY WYLIE.

THE MAQUOKETA CARDINAL FOOTBALL TEAMS PLAY AT WESTERN
DUBUQUE THIS FRIDAY NIGHT.

THANKS FOR CHECKING IN.
