DOUG DRURY ON 489TH AVENUE REPORTED THIS MORNING THAT SOMEONE
TOOK A LOAD OF WOOD AND HIS POMERANIAN DOG.
STATE SENATOR TOD BOWMAN ISSUED A PRESS RELEASE YESTERDAY, SAYING
THE DNR WILL, YES WILL, OPEN THE CAVES AT THE STATE PARK LATE THIS

MAQUOKETA HAS HAD A SMALL FARMER'S MARKET ON SATURDAY MORNINGS
FOR MANY YEARS. NOW, A GROUP IS TRYING TO BUILD AND PROMOTE A BIGGER AND BETTER ONE AND IT MAY BE ON TUESDAY EVENINGS INSTEAD.

FAIRGROUNDS, IN THE PEARSON CENTER, WHERE THE KMAQ FARM SHOW WILL ALSO BE GOING ON. THE 6-MEMBER COMMITEE IS LOOKING FOR MORE IDEAS FROM THE PUBLIC,WHO THEY INVITE TO THE MEETING.
ELMER PETERS, 75, OF BETTENDORF, DIED LAST SUNDAY. HIS FUNERAL
