IN DOWNTOWN MAQUOKETA. THE OWNER, BRYSON BORMAN, WHO LIVES IN PRESTON, WILL SERVICE HIS MAQUOKETA CUSTOMERS FROM HIS PRESTON LOCATION. THE MAQUOKETA STORE HANDLED NEW TV'S AND SERVICED TV'S.
RCS APPLIANCES ON SOUTH JONES IS CLOSED. THE SIGN IN THE DOOR
GIVES A PHONE NUMBER FOR COMPUTER REPAIRS AND ANOTHER FOR
APPLIANCE REPAIRS. JOHN REGAN IS THE OWNER. HE FIRST STARTED
AS A COMPUTER SALES AND SERVICE BUSINESS AND THEN LATER ADDED
(PURCHASED) THE TV AND APPLIANCE BUSINESS FROM ARNOLD KORANDA.
THE STORE WAS MOVED IN THE LAST YEAR OR SO FROM THE WESTGATE
STRIP MALL OFF WEST PLATT STREET.
WINNERS OF THE FESTIVAL OF TREES AT OHNWARD FINE ARTS CENTER
HAVE BEEN ANNOUNCED. THE "IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE" RAFFLE TREE, WHICH WAS A WOODEN ROCKING HORSE VINTAGE RADIO, WAS WON BY BOB AND JUDY ANDERSEN OF MAQUOKETA. THE RECEIVED $100 IN CHAMBER
BUCKS DONATED BY THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. FIRST PLACE IN THE LARGE-TREE CATEGORY WAS "SMILES ON MAIN" AND FIRST PLACE FOR THE
SMALL TREE CATEGORY WAS "VINTAGE FRIENDS" AND FIRST PLACE
WREATH WAS WON BY THE MAQUOKETA KIWANIS CLUB. VOLUNTEER
GREETER WINNERS WERE KAREN KRUEGER AND RUTH SHEETS.
IT WAS A NICE DISPLAY OF TREES AND WREATHS. ANYONE COULD BID TO OWN A TREE OR WREATH AND THE MONEY FROM THE TOP BID OF EACH, WENT TO OHNWARD.
THE NEXT BIG SHOW AT OHNWARD WILL BE A TRIBUTE TO NEIL DIAMOND

CHRISTMAS LIGHTS ARE UP IN DOWNTOWN MAQUOKETA. LIKE LAST
YEAR, EACH LIGHT POLE HAS WRAP-AROUND GARLAND WITH WHITE
LIGHTS. LOOKS NICE!
