JULIE STREETS, WAITING AS MARK INTLEKOFER MAKES HER OMELET. JULIE, WIFE
OF DENNIS, FOR AROUND 20 YEARS RAN A NEAT GIFT STORE JUST UP THE STREET
FROM KMAQ....JULIE'S KOUNTRY KRAFTS. THIS WAS IN THE 80'S AND 90'S.
SHE EVEN SERVED AS PRESIDENT OF THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. WHY WERE
THE NAMES IN HER BUSINESS SPELLED WITH A K? BECAUSE SHE WAS A
KUHL GIRL FROM MILES AND GRADUATED FROM MILES HIGH SCHOOL. HER FOLKS
WERE MR. AND MRS. RAYMOND KUHL AND RAYMOND, NOW 94, IS A VETERAN, SERVING
IN WORLD WAR II. THOSE WERE REALLY FUN, BUSY RETAIL DAYS IN DOWNTOWN
MAQUOKETA WHEN JULIE HAD HER STORE. AND OF COURSE, SHE ADVERTISED ON
KMAQ. THAT'S ONE REASON SHE WAS IN A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS SO LONG.
SHE DIDN'T NEED TO CLOSE HER STORE, SHE DESERVED TO RETIRE.
