THE DAY STARTED OUT RAINY AND COOL AND CLOUDY AND THEN THE SUN CAME OUT THIS AFTERNOON AND THOUGH WINDY, IT WAS NICE AND WE HIT 50.
NICE WEATHER FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK...IN THE 50'S.

OPAL STOLL DIED YESTERDAY AT 103. WELL KNOWN SENIOR. READ HER
OBITUARY AT CARSON FUNERAL HOME WEB SITE. HER BROTHERS WERE ALSO
WELL KNOWN AS OWNERS AND OPERATORS TWO RUSSELL BROTHER'S GROCERY STORES
IN MAQUOKETA.

THERE WILL AGAIN BE A COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING DINNER THANKSGIVING DAY AT THE
JACKSON COUNTY SENIOR CENTER. EVERYONE WILL NEED A TICKET FOR THE NOON
DINNER SO THEY WILL KNOW HOW MANY ARE COMING. DINNER IS FREE BUT
A FREE-WILL OFFERING WILL BE WELCOME. WORKERS ARE NEEDED AND ALSO NEEDED WILL BE FOOD AND PIES. IF YOU CAN DONATE, HELP, OR NEED A RIDE, OR WOULD LIKE THE MEALDDELIVERED, CALL ROSEMARY BICKFORD AT 652-5318.

A DAVENPORT SURGICAL GROUP WILL NOW PROVIDE SURGERY SERVICES AT THE
HOSPITAL IN MAQUOKETA. SURGEONS DR. ROBERT HARSON, DR. JOHN HARTMAN,
AND DR. DAVID AANESTAD WILL PERFORM OUTPATIENT SURGERY AND THE FIRM
WILL HAVE OFFICE HOURS AT THE HOSPITAL TWO DAYS EACH WEEK.
THAT GROUP WILL REPLACE DR. PETE ATIENZA WHO HAS SERVED THE HOSPITAL
SINCE 1982.
