THE MAQUOKETA Y HAS A SWIMMING COORDINATOR AND HER NAME IS MARCY CAIN.
AND SHE IS SIGNING UP PEOPLE NOW FOR THE MAQUOKETA Y SWIM TEAM.
IT IS FOR CHILDREN UP TO 21 AND ABLE TO SWIM THE LENGTH OF THE POOL.
THE SEASON STARTS OCTOBER 31ST. THERE WILL BE AN INFORMATIONAL MEETING
ON MONDAY NIGHT, OCTOBER 17TH AT THE Y. OR IF YOU CAN'T ATTEND,

MCHS VOCAL MUSIC DIRECTOR JOEL HAGEN INFORMED KMAQ TODAY THAT THE
UPCOMING VOCAL CONCERT WILL BE ON TUES, OCTOBER 18TH AT 7:30 P.M. AT THE
FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH. ADMISSION, $5.O0. PUT IT ON YOUR CALENDAR.

THE BELLEVUE ROTARY'S ANNUAL HALLOWEEN PARADE WILL BE AT 3:30 SUNDAY
AFTERNOON, OCTOBER 30TH. PARADE CHAIRMAN IS LINDA O'BRIEN NUDD (FORMER MAQUOKETA RESIDENT) AND SHE REMINDS KIDS IN JACKSON COUNTY THAT THERE
IS PRIZE MONEY FOR TEAMS AND INDIVIDUALS.

HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL LAST NIGHT AT DEWITT, THE 9TH RATED MAQUOKETA
GIRLS DEFEATED THE 10TH RATED DEWITT GIRLS, 3 GAMES TO 2
ALLISON VANDEMORE HAD 17 KILLS AND MARLEE LINDSTROM HAD 47 ASSISTS.
NICOLE SNYDER HAD 20 DIGS. ACES BY DEVON O'CONNELL, NICOLE SNYDER AND
AUBREE TAYLOR.

AREA RESIDENTS WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN ATHLETES LATER THIS MONTH. THE LOCAL KIWANIS CLUB IS
SPONSORING THE EVENT, CALLED "GAME NIGHT WITH FCA" AND GIVING THE PROGRAM
WILL BE DAN PEARSON, FORMER CHANNEL 6 SPORTS ANCHOR AND NOW AN AREA
DIRECTOR FOR F.C.A. ALSO ON THE PROGRAM WILL BE FELLOW AREA DIRECTOR
TIM SCHNECKLOTH. THE EVENT WILL BE A FAITH COMMUNITY CHURCH STARTING
AT 7 P.M. ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 17TH. THE EVENT IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
ESPECIALLY WELCOME OF COURSE WILL BE AREA STUDENT ATHLETES.
