BEAUTIFUL DAY TODAY....NO HUMIDITY AND HIGH OF 75. MORE COMING FOR THE

RON DELAGARDELLE REPORTED YESTERDAY MORNING THAT THE TIRES WERE SLASHED
ON HIS TRUCK OVERNIGHT AT 505 N. WALNUT.
DAVID BYRD, 119 N. JONES, REPORTED SATURDAY THAT A CASE OF CD'S WERE
TAKEN.
DUSTIN EDWARDS OF BRIDGPORT AUTO SALES SOUTH OF MAQUOKETA REPORTED
SATURDAY THAT ONE VEHICLE HAD THE WINDOWS BROKEN OUT.
AND JASON WATTERS REPORTED SOME ITEMS WERE TAKEN FROM HIS VEHICLE
SUNDAY WHILE PARKED AT SHAKERS JUST WEST OF LAMOTTE.

IN MAQUOKETA BACK TO SCHOOL NEWS, SUPT. KIM HUCKSTADT SAID MONDAY
THAT THERE ARE ABOUT 72 KINDERGARTEN STUDENTS SIGNED-UP FOR CLASSES TO
START AUGUST 18TH. HE SAID IF THE NUMBERS INCREASE TO 80, THEY WILL
HAVE 5 SECTIONS. THERE ARE 5 TEACHERS, BUT ONE COULD TAKE OVER THE READING
POSITION WHICH IS VACANT. AT THE HIGH SCHOOL, THERE ARE 570 STUDENTS REGISTERED SO FAR, WHICH IS UP 8 STUDENTS. THERE ARE STILL 67 IN QUESTION. THERE ARE 32 ANDREW STUDENTS REGISTERED UNDER THE WHOLE GRADE SHARING PROGRAM. AT THE MIDDLE SCHOOL, 355 STUDENTS REGISTERED, BUT THEY HAVE NOT HEARD FROM 40. AT CARDINAL ELEMENTARY, REGISTRATION IS DOWN A LITTLE. NO NUMBERS AVAILABLE. BRIGGS ELEMENTARY HAS 292 REGISTERED, BUT 30 EXPECTED TO STILL REGISTER, MAKING THE TOTAL ABOUT WHERE THEY THOUGHT IT WOULD BE.

GRANDPARENTS ARE ALAN AND KARLA BRUNS OF MAQUOKETA.
