A LITTLE RAIN THIS MORNING AND THE REST OF THE DAY WASN'T TOO
BAD WITH A HIGH OF 75. RAIN TONIGHT AND TOMORROW AND
PRETTY GOOD WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK.

MAQUOKETA TEACHERS WILL SEE AT 3.1 PERCENT PAY RAISE BEGINNING JULY 1ST. THE SCHOOL BOARD APPROVED A TWO-YEAR AGREEMENT
THIS WEEK.

FIVE MORE VEHICLE-DEER ACCIDENTS THE LAST COUPLE DAYS.

A KMAQ CORRECTION ON A STORY YESTERDAY, SAYING DALE KLOFT, AGE 68,
WOULD HAVE TO SPEND THE REST OF HIS LIFE IN PRISON.
THE JUDGE DID SENTENCE HIM TO 10 YEARS BUT AFTER THAT, THE
JUDGE ISSUED A SPECIAL SENTENCE THAT KOFT BE ON PAROLE FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE AND DURING THAT TIME, WOULD BE REGISTERED AS
A SEX OFFENDER.

A BIRTH. ADAM AND ANGELA RULEY OF MAQUOKETA ARE PARENTS OF
A BOY BORN FRIDAY AT MERCY HOSPITAL IN DUBUQUE.

  1. I think it is about time teachers and all of the others that work for the district start paying for their insurance coverage instead of taxpayers flipping the bill
