NEXT YEAR THAN HAD ORIGINALLY BEEN SUGGESTED. IT APPROVED
A TAX INCREASE OF 94 CENTS PER $1,000 OF ASSESSED VALUATION. NOT
$1.28 AS SUGGESTED EARLIER. TO DO THIS, THE CASH RESERVE WILL BE
REDUCED TO $250,000 BUT THE MANAGEMENT LEVY WILL STAY AT $300,000.
HUGH BOWMAN WILL CELEBRATE HIS 80TH BIRTHDAY TOMORROW.
HE HAS BEEN IN THE GAS, OIL AND SERVICE STATION BUSINESS FOR THE PAST 53 YEARS AND IS STILL PUMPING GAS ALONG WITH HIS PARTNER , SON BILL, ON SOUTH MAIN STREET. HE HAS 5 SONS AND 12 GRANDCHILDREN. AT BOWMAN OIL, THEY STILL WASH THE WINDSHIELD WINDOW.
THE BIG CITYWIDE GARAGE SALE DAY IS THIS SATURDAY. THERE WILL BE
59 DIFFERENT SALE PLACES OPEN FROM 7 A.M. UNTIL 1 P.M.
