MAQUOKETA SCHOOL REGISTRATION FEES WILL REMAIN THE SAME FOR STUDENTS NEXT YEAR. SCHOOL LUNCH PRICES WILL GO UP A DIME AND ACTIVITY
TICKETS WILL INCREASE BY $5.00. LUNCH RATES WILL BE $1.95 FOR ELEMENTARY KIDS, $2.05 FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL AND $3.10 FOR ADULTS.
BREAKFAST RATES ARE $1.30 FOR ELEMENTARY....$1.40 FOR MIDDLE SCHOOL
AND HIGH SCHOOL AND $2.00 FOR ADULTS. NOT BAD. THE MAQUOKETA FOOD SERVICE PROGRAM OPERATES IN THE BLACK.

JIM MERRICK ON WAS LOCUST STREET REPORTED WEDNESDAY THAT SOMEONE TOOK TWO DECORATIVE FLOWER POTS AND SMASHED THEM ON THE STREET AND DRIVEWAY.
AND SHIRLEY WHITCHELO OF WEST QUARRY STREET, SAID WEDNESDAY THAT SOMEONE TOOK SOME SOLAR LITES FROM HER PROPERTY.

THE MOVING WALL....THE HALF-SIZE REPLICA OF THE WASHINGTON, D.C. VIETNAM VETERANS MEMORIAL WILL BE IN MAQUOKETA JUNE 23-27. IT HAS BEEN TOURING THE COUNTRY FOR MORE THAN 20 YEARS.

THE JACKSON COUNTY MASTER GARDNERS HAVE ANNOUNCED THEIR COMMUNITY GRANT RECEIPIENTS. A TOTAL OF $1,505 WAS AWARDED INCLUDING
$415 TO THE CLINTON ENGINES MUSEUM GROUNDS, $300 FOR MAIN STREET BEAUTIFICATION IN MAQUOKETA AND $375 TO OHNWARD FINE ARTS CENTER
IN MAQUOKETA. THE MONEY CAME FROM PROCEEDS FROM THE MASTER GARDNER'S ANNUAL PLANT SALE. THIS YEAR THE SALE WILL BE SATURDAY, MAY 7TH AT BOYER HALL ON THE FAIRGROUNDS, STARTING AT 9 A.M. AN EXTENSIVE VARIETY OF PLANTS ARE ALWAYS AVAILABLE AT THE SALE. PRICES ARE
ALWAYS REASONABLE. AND THE PUBLIC IS INVITED TO COME AND SELECT THE AREA-GROWN PLANTS.

THE VOICE OF THE IOWA HAWKEYES, GARY DOLPHIN, WILL BE THE GUEST SPEAKER
AT THE NEXT ROTARY MEETING, NEXT WEDNESDAY AT NOON AT THE EAGLES
CLUB ON EAST PLATT IN MAQUOKETA. GUESTS ARE ALWAYS WELCOME.
