TERRIBLE SPRING WEATHER.
RAIN TODAY AND COLD...HIGH OF 43.
IT WON'T GET MUCH BETTER FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK.
THERE WAS A BOMB THREAT YESTERDAY AT THE HIGH SCHOOL.
THE BUILDING WAS SEARCHED LAST NIGHT AND THIS MORNING, POLICE
WERE AT THE ENTRY DOORS. SCHOOL WAS HELD AND NO PROBLEM TODAY.
THE SUPERVISORS HAVE BEEN INFORMED THAT FURTHER ARCHEOLOGICAL
STUDIES WON'T HAVE TO BE DONE ON THE CENTERVILLE ROAD PROJECT
IN NORTHERN JACKSON COUNTY. THIS WILL SAVE $250,000.
LOTS OF COMPLAINING BY THE SUPERVISORS GOT THE FAVORABLE DECISION.
BELLEVUE COULD HAVE A RECORD FLOOD ON THE MISSISSIPPI TO DEAL WITH
IN A WEEK OR MORE. THE BIG WORRY WILL BE THE CITY'S WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT.
ANOTHER BIRTH: SHAWN AND SHERRY SUMMERS HOWELL OF AMES ARE THE
PARENTS OF A BOY BORN TODAY AT MARY GREELEY HOSPITAL IN AMES.
MATERNAL GRANDPARENTS ARE JIM AND CAROL SUMMERS OF MAQUOKETA.
THANKS FOR THE VISIT.
