31 AND CLOUDY TODAY. A LITTLE WARMER TOMORROW.
FIRST, THE GIRL-BOY DOUBLE-HEADER BASKETALL PROGRAM WAS NOT LAST
NIGHT AS I MENTIONED AT THE END OF YESTERDAY'S REPORT. I GUESS I WAS THINKING I WAS DOING FRIDAY'S REPORT...MY MISTAKE. MAQUOKETA HOSTS THE DEWITT SABERS TONIGHT, WITH THE GIRLS GAME AT 6 AND VARSITY AT 7:30....AND CAKE AUCTION BETWEEN GAMES. BOTH GAMES ON KMAQ-FM AND OUR WEB SITE, WWW.KMAQ.COM WITH MATT CLARK.
THE WRESTLERS ARE IN A BIG WAMAC TOURNAMENT TOMORROW AT MANCHESTER.
LITTLE EXCITEMENT AT THE THEATRE THIS AFTERNOON. THERE WAS SOME
SMOKE IN THE VOY 2 AUDITORIUM, SO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CALLED.
IT TOOK AWHILE TO DISCOVER WERE THE SMOKE CAME FROM. IT WAS A BURNED OUT FURNACE MOTOR. THE THEATRE WILL BE OPEN TONIGHT AS USUAL, BUT
IF THEY CAN'T GET A NEW MOTOR INSTALLED BY SHOWTIME, THE MOVIE...."COUNTRY STRONG'....WITH TIM MCGRAW WILL NOT BE SHOWN.
THE TRIAL OF DANIELLE HOLDGRAFER, OF ANDREW, WILL BE HELD IN JACKSON COUNTY. ON APRIL 1ST. THE JUDGE DENIED A REQUEST TO MOVE THE TRIAL TO ANOTHER COUNTY. HOLDGRAFER WILL BE TRIED FOR CHILD ENDANGERMENT RESULTING IN THE PROBABLE DEATH OF HER 4 YEAR OLD SON LAST JUNE.
I WILL HAVE A SHORT DAILY REPORT TOMORROW WITH THE SCORES FROM
TONIGHT'S BASKETBALL GAMES AND WITH INFORMATION ON THE THEATRE FURNACE MOTOR.
HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND.
DENNIS VOY
