170 POUNDS OF TURKEY WILL
BE CONSUMED THURSDAY AT THE MAQUOKETA COMMUNITY THANKSGIVING MEAL AT THE
JACKSON COUNTY SENIOR
CENTER, STARTING AT NOON.
THE TURKEY IS BEING PREPARED NOW AT THE METHODIST CHURCH IN THEIR BRAND NEW
KITCHEN. ALL 8 TURKEYS
WILL BE DONE AND MOVED TO THE CENTER THURSDAY MORNING WHERE FINAL MEAL
PREPARATIONS WILL BE MADE
BY VOLUNTEERS. SHOWN HERE,
SHEILA BENTLEY, ON THE
DINNER COMMITTEE AND TO THE RIGHT, CINDY DANIELS, CHIEF COOK. HER REGULAR JOB IS WORKING IN THE DELI AT THE FAREWAY
STORE, BUT SHE'S DONATING HER TIME FOR THE COMMUNITY DINNER. PIES AND SALADS ARE BEING DONATED AND MORE ARE NEEDED. CALL 652-5318 TO FIND
OUT WHAT YOU CAN MAKE. OR CALL TO MAKE A CASH DONATION. THE DINNER
IS FREE, BUT DONATIONS ARE SUGGESTED.
