GOT DOWN TO 37 LAST NIGHT. TODAY, SUNNY, WINDY AND COOL...HIGH OF
66. REST OF WEEK LOOKING GOOD.

RUMORS TODAY THAT ALDI'S GROCERY STORE IS CLOSING DECEMBER 31ST.
WE TRIED TO CALL THE HEADQUARTERS AND NO LUCK SO FAR ON GETTING
A STORY. RUMOR ALSO THAT THE WEST PLATT BUILDING WHERE THEY ARE LOCATED NOW, HAS BEEN SOLD AND WILL BE USED FOR SOMETHING ELSE. I THINK ALDI'S SHOULD BUILD A NEW STORE WITH PARKING WHERE THE BURNED-DOWN BUILDINGS STOOD. HOPE THE CITY (OWNER OF LAND) AND CHAMBER MAKE A PITCH TO THEM AND WORK OUT A PACKAGE THAT WILL INTEREST THEM.

A RURAL ANDREW BARN WAS DESTROYED BY FIRE EARLY THIS MORNING.
ANDREW FIREMEN WERE CALLED TO THE KEVIN CORNELIUS FARM ON 317TH AVENUE AT 3 THIS MORNING. THEIR BARN WITH HAY AND STRAW INSIDE WAS DESTROYED. A BULL ALSO DIED IN THE FIRE BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT GET HIM OUT. CORNELIUS SPECULATES THAT THE CAUSE OF THE FIRE MAY HAVE
BEEN ELECTRICAL. SPRINGBROOK AND BELLEVUE FIRE DEPARTMENTS ASSISTED AT THE SCENE. THEY WERE THERE ABOUT 2 HOURS.

HERE'S A SAD NOTE: AN EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT WAS DESTROYED NEAR ST.
DONATUS. PAT DRAUS REPORTED TO JACKSON COUNTY SHERIFF DEPUTIES
YESTERDAY MORNING THAT HER SON DID AN EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT LESS THAN A MONTH AGO. IT WAS DESTROYED OVERNIGH TUESDAY AND THE WOODEN BENCH WAS TOSSED INTO THE CREEK.

BE SURE TO CHECK THE PHOTOS I TOOK OVER THE NOON HOUR TODAY, DOWN
TO THE HALLOWEEN HOUSE PICTURE. THAT HOME SPOOK-DISPLAY BY THE WAY
IS LOCATED JUST UP THE HILL SOUTH OF CARSON FUNERAL HOME.

ROSES ARE RED,
VIOLETS ARE BLUE,
IOWA IN THE FALL,
IS THE BEST TIME OF ALL.

BY FAMED POET, DENNIS VOY. HAVE A GOOD DAY!
