CLICK-ON PHOTO TO ENLARGE IT.

THE KMAQ BUILDING WITH
THE NEW PAINT JOB.

IT FORMERLY HAD A DARK
TOP-HALF AND LIGHT BOTTOM.

NOW, JUST THE OPPOSITE.

DEL SMITH OF DAVENPORT, AND
SOON RURAL SPRINGBROOK, DID THE PAINTING.

THE 11 UP/DOWN SPOT LIGHTS ARE ON UNTIL AROUND 10 AT NIGHT. SAME FOR THE BLUE
K M A & Q.

WE MOVED INTO THIS BUILDING
IN 1970 (AFTER THE COAST TO COAST FIRE FORCED US FROM 136 1/2 SOUTH MAIN STREET) AND AFTER THE REMODELING WAS COMPLETED, WE HAD AN OPEN HOUSE IN THE FALL OF 1971.
